Safety Information: Entries with multiple walkers/riders, please assemble your group (especially those including children) at an alternate location and come to the staging area as one unit to avoid congestion in the crowded areas.  Individual drop offs will not be permitted.  We ask parade participants to throw candy carefully toward the ground and not into the crowd.  We also ask that anyone in the crowd not run into the street to retrieve the candy thrown.

School Band Buses: follow North Bypass/Homecrest until you reach the intersection at North St.  Turn left onto North St. then right onto Walter St. to drop off students at the KHS Gymnasium.  Band students can depart buses in the gym parking lot and walk to the grassy area in front of the High School.  Band buses should also exit using Walter St. and then North Bypass to go to the end of the parade route.  Buses have permission to park at SEMO University if they wish.  Instructors and Drivers: please coordinate pick up location with your students.  Each band that participates in the parade will be admitted to the Delta Fair that night at no charge.  Bands may bring a vehicle to follow or lead the students for health/safety reasons.  If you wish to bring a vehicle in the parade please coordinate with Chamber staff during registration.

Pageant winner entries:  Delta Fair Pageant Royalty will ride on a float sponsored by the Delta Fair Board.  This float will not be eligible to win prize money.  Participants on the float will be limited to Queens only ages 5 years and older, no alternates.  Other pageant queens should register for the parade individually and will abide by the same rules as the Delta Fair Pageant: queens only ages 5 years and older.

Entry fee: Commercial/Business and Political advertising entries will be assessed a $25 entry fee per vehicle.  This fee will not apply to law enforcement, fire departments, EMT, civic clubs, school based club and teams, classic vehicles, pageant queens, or float competition entries.  The fee may be paid during online registration or by requesting an invoice from Kennett Chamber of Commerce.  Business entries with a float plus extra vehicle(s) will be assessed for the total number of vehicles minus float and hauling vehicle.

Entries depicting violence, horror attractions or deemed inappropriate by parade staff will not be permitted.  Parade officials will be granted final discretion and may eliminate entries leading up to parade start. If you have questions about your entry's qualifications, please contact Kennett Chamber of Commerce.
