Celebrate Sheryl Crow's Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame with a Watch Party at the Historic Palace Theater in Kennett, Missouri!

The November 3 Livestream from New York is Free to the Community

KENNETT, MO. –  October 18 – Excitement is building in Kennett as hometown hero, Sheryl Crow, is set to be inducted into the 2023 class of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. To mark the occasion, the historic Kennett Missouri Palace Theater is hosting a watch party on November 3, bringing the community together for an unforgettable night of music, celebration, and hometown pride.

Sheryl Crow has captured hearts worldwide with her music, but she holds a special place in the hearts of Kennetians where she has always come back home to hold fundraising concerts, built the Sheryl Crow Aquatic Center, contributed to improving the school’s tennis courts, and rallied for the teachers at Kennett Public Schools. As the beloved hometown star ascends to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the community plans to celebrate this remarkable achievement together.

The watch party will feature a live broadcast of Sheryl Crow's induction ceremony, on the big screen with Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound at the Kennett Palace Theater. This will be an evening filled with music, emotion, and a sense of community you won't want to miss!

This is the first time in Rock & Roll Hall of Fame history that the Induction Ceremony will be streamed live, as Disney+ livestream will be carried coast-to-coast from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. In past years music fans had to wait weeks to see an edited broadcast.

Earlier this year, Crow told Variety magazine that she played at the opening concert for the Rock Hall in Cleveland in 1995, “Where I got to sing with Chrissie Hynde and Jackson Browne. But even more crazy than that, I remember vividly Chuck Berry picking me up in his arms and spinning me around. I mean, for a kid from Missouri, that to me kind of surpasses any kind of award I could ever get.”

In addition to Crow, other 2023 inductees scheduled to perform are Missy Elliott, Chaka Khan, and Willie Nelson, as well as special guests Brandi Carlile, Dave Matthews, 1994 Inductee Elton John, H.E.R., Chris Stapleton, St. Vincent, New Edition, and more.

Local organizers Carolyn Brooks Ellis, and theater owner Jill Mobley shared their inspiration for creating the event.

Ellis said, “We've come together to celebrate Sheryl Crow’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame which is rarer than a solar eclipse. She's not only a musical icon but an inspiration to our community, especially for the children who can always use encouragement to pursue their hopes and dreams. Ellis continued, “We wanted to give Kennett and neighboring regional residents a chance to share in the joy of this moment together.”

Mobley added, “Hosting this watch party is an incredible privilege for the Kennett Palace Theater. I’m thrilled to be a part of Sheryl's journey to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and to provide a space where our community can gather, enjoy her music, and take pride in her achievements. Sheryl's success has brought the world's attention to Kennett, and this event is a way for us to thank her and show our support."

Admission to the Kennett watch party is free, but due to limited seating, tickets are required. Reserve tickets for this unforgettable event on Eventbrite (Sheryl Crow Watch Party) or by visiting the Sheryl Crow Watch Party Facebook page. Please note that tickets are limited to four per household, so make sure to secure your spot and invite your friends and family to join in the celebration.

For those who wish to contribute to defray the expenses associated with this event, donations can be made at the Mid County Branch of the Senath State Bank in Kennett.

As the date draws near, more information regarding the exact time of Sheryl Crow's induction will be provided. Stay tuned for updates on the Sheryl Crow Watch Party Facebook page and local announcements.

When announcing Crow’s nomination in May, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame said that “Sheryl Crow’s voice is forever woven into the tapestry of American music. Through her powerhouse solo performances, collaborations with industry icons, and early session musician work, Crow’s influence reverberates through classic 1990s rock, pop, country, folk, blues, and the work of countless singer songwriters.” Crow was admitted on her first time on the ballot which is rare.
