America 250 Community Celebration

Make your way to Jones Park this Flag Day to celebrate America with good music, good food, and good times. Bring your lawn chairs to enjoy live music by local bands, come hungry for the food trucks, and get ready for games and fun for the whole family.

Dunklin County Library - Stars, Stripes, & Stories Summer Reading Program

Thursday, July 23, 6:00 p.m.: American History Trivia Night
Visit the Dunklin County Library headquarters in Kennett for a summer of American history education for kids, teens, and adults. Library staff will host events like lessons on the history of the American Flag and Founding Fathers for kids, an essay contest and American history scavenger hunt for teens, and a folklore/storytelling night as well as an American history trivia night for adults.

Kennett Municipal Band Concert - Patriotic Music
Wednesday, July 1, 7:00 p.m.
Bring a lawn chair to Jones Park for an evening of rousing patriotic music performed by Kennett's Municipal Band. This free event is family friendly - come early and picnic in the shade. The band is a local musical ensemble sponsored by the Kennett Alliance for the Arts.
