Kennett Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Christian Johnson recently completed the CCEM Chamber Management Academy, a premier professional development program presented by the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri (CCEM).
Held August 5–6, 2026, in Jefferson City, the two-day academy brought together chamber professionals from communities across Missouri to strengthen their leadership skills, exchange ideas, and gain practical strategies to better serve their members and local business communities.
The program featured sessions on board governance, membership recruitment and retention, marketing and communications, advocacy, public relations, economic development, sponsorship development, social media strategy, and generating non-dues revenue. Participants also had the opportunity to build valuable connections with chamber peers from across the state.
The Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri (CCEM) is the professional association for Missouri chamber leaders. Through education, networking, and leadership development, CCEM equips chamber professionals with the knowledge, resources, and connections needed to strengthen their organizations and the communities they serve.
